Running on empty

AJ feels like he is flying when he runs, and it was Grandad who taught him. Grandad also kept their family together, since AJ's parents both have learning difficulties--but now Grandad has passed away, leaving AJ to care for his parents when they need him, while at the same time trying to deal with all his middle school woes, which include trying to impress his track coach and also the cute girl at the bakery.
