Dr. James Herriot continues his career as a loved and respected veterinarian in the rural community of Yorkshire after World War II. He still struggles with impatient farmers and difficult diagnoses in behalf of several animals. Fortunately for him now as his career is ending, his children Rosie and Jimmy share his great affection for all of the animals.
