The counterfeit family tree of Vee Crawford-Wong

When half-Texan, half-Chinese Vee Crawford-Wong is tasked with writing a paper on his family history, he makes up a story about the grandfather he never met. Shortly after, a forged Chinese letter from his best friend convinces his family to travel all the way to China, where a series of unexpected events actually allow Vee to discover who he really is.
