Small-town fire chief C.D. Bales has a secret crush on astronomy student Roxanne, but because of his huge nose, he is shy in approaching her. So when one of his bumbling but handsome firemen wants to woo Roxanne, C.D. volunteers to coach the fireman in his suit, in the hope of getting near her himself.
