A scruffy twelve-year-old fleeing authorities crashes into Thomas Edison's lab. Recognizing himself in the boy, Edison takes him in. Soon, the lad becomes a sorcerer's apprentice to the Wizard of Menlo Park as they pursue Edison's dream of motion pictures.
