It's time for Moorepark Middle School's annual Demonstration Derby, and Billy thinks he's got it made. All he needs is a little help from his best friend Hoover Porterhouse--the ghost with the most!.

Billy Broccoli's life is over since his mom got remarried. But Billy also has a new friend. There's only one problem--he's a ghost!.

When Billy Broccoli discovers that his friend Hoover Porterhouse is failing Responsibility, he decides that Hoover needs a pet. Since the ghost scares every animal that sees him, however, finding the perfect pet for Porter is going to be a challenge.
