Artemis Fowl / Colfer, Eoin

Artemis Fowl must again prevent the human and fairy worlds from colliding. He is in Berlin preparing to steal a painting from a German bank. His evil pixie rival, Opal Koboi, is out of her coma and clones herself to be a human. She first lures Captain Holly Short and Commander Root into a trap then works to outsmart and destroy Artemis.

Artemis Fowl's dad returns and tries to steer his son away from crime but Artemis wants one last scheme and while trying to sell the C Cube, his bodyguard gets shot and he must employ his opponent for use of fairy magic.

Artemis Fowl creates an extraordinarily powerful computer with stolen fairy technology, but his business deal hopes go sour when a Chicago businessman steals his invention and mortally wounds Artemis's loyal bodyguard.
