A Japanese graphic novel in which the young samurai warrior Usagi faces many dangers as he crosses feudal Japan, and he must hide a secret from young Jotaro that many others know.

As they near the Kitanoji Temple, where Usagi will part ways with young Jotaro, Usagi finds himself pulled into dangerous situations that could have deadly consequences.

Follows the experiences of samurai rabbit Usagi Yojimbo as he wanders the countryside in search of harmony, encountering unusual people, including seaweed farmers, a noodle peddler, a demon-possessed woman, and others, and great danger along the way.

While searching for a kidnapped girl, Usagi Yojimbo, the rabbit ronin, encounters hordes of yokai, or monsters and demons, that are gathering for a raid on the countryside, and works with Sasuke the Demon Queller to prevent the invasion.
