Just when Moritaka and Akito have hope of beating their rivals in Weekly Shonen Jump because their new manga series, Perfect Crime, is doing well, they are dealt an unexpected setback.

With Hattori's help, Moritaka and Akito struggle to make their new manga series the best it can be, with Moritaka working on the character designs and Akito searching for perfect names for the characters and the series. They hope that when it debuts in "Weekly Jump," it will take the top spot.

Moritaka and Akito find themselves with another rival for space in "Weekly Shonen Jump" when Aiko Iwase teams up with Eiji, making it even more difficult to achieve their dream. Plus, Akito must face Kaya's father, a master in karate, to ask permission to marry her.

Manga creators Moritaka Mashiro and Akito Takagi search for new directions after being cancelled by their publisher, while Aoki and Nakai deal with personal issues, but trouble strikes when Kaya discovers Akito has been meeting with Aoki and Iwase.

Moritaka and Akito find themselves facing the possibility that their manga series in Shonen Jump will be cancelled due to a drop-off in popularity. Then, Akito's new friendship with manga creator Ko Aoki may affect the relationship between Akito and Kaya.

Big changes are in store now that Moritaka and Akito have their own series in Shonen Jump. Hanging out with their favorite manga creators, hiring assistants, keeping track of the weekly reader surveys -- life as a professional manga artist is tough! Can these two survive the pressure?.

Moritaka Mashiro agrees to team up with classmate Akito Takagi to draw the images for the manga that Akito will write, but they come to realize how little they know about what it takes to find success in the manga-publishing world and attempt to beat out their rival, manga genius Eiji Nizuma.

Moritaka and Akito, having teamed up to write manga, try and get the attention of a publishing house, but are concerned they will not have what it takes to impress an editor.
