Rikuo converts to his yokai form to save his classmates Kana and Yura from the Kyuso yokai clan, but it turns out that Gyuki, a top officer of Rikuo's clan, masterminded the attack. Unaware of this, Rikuo makes plans for a camping trip on a mountain known for yokai activity, the perfect place for an ambush.

Rikuo and his hundred demons attempt to take down the yokai Hagoromo-Gitsune while Nurarihyon is attacked by Kyoto yokai.

While searching for Hidemoto's lost seals, Rikuo and the Nura Clan encounter a forest of torii gates and a yokai who uses the gates to form a huge, treacherous labyrinth. Awashima falls victim to the labyrinth, which transports him to another dimension, where he will have to battle a powerful yokai before he can even attempt an escape.

Rikuo and his Nura clansmen head toward Kyoto in a flying boat to aid Yura and her allies in a battle with a friend who is possessed by an ancient yokai and the other yokai who are trying to free their leader, the dark Hagoromo-Gitsune from his magical prison.

Rikuo leads his Night Parade of a Hundred Demons in battle against Tamazuki and his 88 Demons of Shikoku, unaware that Tamazuki is using the Devil's Blade, a legendary sword that absorbs the powers of the demons killed with it. Then, in the morning, the Paranormal Patrol visits a girl who is being haunted by a ghost known as a jyami.

Rikuo saves his classmates from the mad-dog attack, but faces an even bigger challenge when the sinister Tamazuki transforms into his true form--a ferocious yokai in charge of the 88 Demons of Shikoku.

Rikuo Nura, three-quarters human and one quarter yokai, a supernatural creature that thrives on human fear, transforms from an ordinary teenager into the leader of the Nura clan, leading a hundred demons in defense of the clan's status when it is challenged by a mysterious group of travelers.

In an attempt to strengthen the clan, Nurarihyon calls an assembly to officially name Rikuo as the next leader of the Nura Clan, but many clan members feel that Rikuo's willingness to pardon Gyuki for his recent mutinous behavior casts doubt upon his ability to lead.
