Now that Jake's parents have separated, he hopes he can still stay in a cabin with his dad by a lake. When they arrive at the cabin they discover it's shabby and the lake is very polluted. Then he meets a boy, Adrian, playing basketball really well but he has a difficult attitude and Jake's friendship with him disintegrates.
