At summer camp, twelve-year-old Max reinvents himself as daring and fearless "Mad Max," and although he regrets some of his behavior among strangers, he tries to keep some of that fearlessness when he returns home to his friends.

When Max is sent to a family camp, he takes the opportunity to reinvent himself and dons the persona of Mad Max, a reckless individual who quickly gains popularity and notoriety. But can he keep up this facade, or will his true nature begin to slip through?.
