Thousands of sea otters once lived in the cold, crystal clear waters of Prince William Sound,"Alaska's Emerald Jewel"-until disaster struck. A supertanker hit the rocks of Bligh Reef, pouring millions of gallons of crude oul into the sound. The dangerous ooze threatened all the animals living along the shore, especially the sea otter.Resuers flocked inot the small town of Valdez- there were injured otters as far as a hundred miles away.Can these otters be saved?.
