Coppernickel the bird and his dog Tungsten go on a trip that ends up taking them through the paintings of Piet Mondrian after artist Mr. Quickstep tells them that the future must be sought.
Coppernickel, a bird of adventure, decides to invent a device for picking out-of-reach elderberries, but when things get out of control, his best friend, the dog Tungsten, comes to the rescue.
