Simon attempts to call forth spring with his drum, to get the flowers to grow, and the birds to return only to find spring has its own time to arrive.

Simon plays his instruments to cocks, cows, horses, and sheep, but they hear their own music in nature. With the help of Marlene and friends, Simon starts an orchestra with surprising results.

Simon learns a lesson about the things that are important to different creatures and people when he sets out to look for a treasure.

When Simon builds lots of houses from boxes, the animals and fish will not stay in them since they already have homes of their own, so he finds something else to do with his boxes.

Pigs and geese and all kinds of unlikely animals make Simon's a circus like no other.
