Pug, a sorcerer, searches for the meaning of a prophetic nightmare that portends the destruction of the world of Midkemia, while two young brothers, untrained and unprepared, become a part of the Conclave of Shadows.
When an advanced race of elves from the Clan of the Seven Stars return to their homeworld of Midkemia to reconquer it, magician Pug must unite Midkemia's warring rulers to fend off the approaching demons pursuing the elven clan.
