A graphic novel adaptation of the Boxcar Children's "The Haunted Cabin Mystery," in which the Alden children travel on a Mississippi paddle-wheel steamer to visit an old family friend in his cabin near Hannibal, Missouri, and try to discover who is responsible for the mysterious activities near the house.

The Aldens, and their dog Watch, find a backpack full of jewelry and when they try to return it to the owner, find that it has fallen from a plane.

The Alden children discover another mystery when the agree to help injured Mr. Yee tend to his plot in the community garden and find out that vegetables are going missing and plots are being vandalized.

The Aldens become involved in a community theater production of "The Wizard of Oz," which is systematically and mysteriously being sabotaged.
