When her cousin Shiri commits suicide, Sunshine "Sunny" Pryce-Shah's life turns inside out. Apart from the grief, Sunny discovers she has gained the ability to "underhear" people's thoughts. This leads her to find out what her so-called friends really think about her, and if she isn't careful, Sunny decides that she might soon go the way of Shiri.
