When other students go home for the summer, Rin and his classmates go to a training camp where they must locate and recover objectives, but the tasks will require trust and teamwork, something Rin is short on, especially when he suspects Mephisto is up to something.

With both eyes of the Impure King in their possession, Mamushi and Todo head for the temple that was once the center of the Myodha sect, but Mamushi remains unaware that Todo plans to resurrect the Impure King. As he prepares to face the Impure King, Rin learns more about Father Fujimoto's connection to Tatsuma and the origins of the Koma Sword.
