Robert's new sneakers are not the "cool" brand that "everyone" is wearing. When certain people make fun of Robert's sneakers, he tries various solutions that only make the problem go from bad to worse, until he finally stands up to the main sneaker snob.
When Mrs. Bernthal asks her class to try new things, Robert learns he likes playing the tuba. When his tuba is damaged, however, Robert must decide what he likes and does not like.
