It s the hundredth day of school, and Miss Mingo the Flamingo has quite a day planned for her diverse class of animals. First, the students share projects that celebrate the number one hundred: Centipede does one hundred jumping jacks, Panda shows off two bundles of fifty bamboo stalks, and other students share five sets of twenty footprints and other combos to get to the magic number.

Miss Mingo and her class hike up High Hill to visit a weather station, and although Groundhog predicts that the weather will be perfect, the animals experience rising and falling temperatures, hail, wind, and rain, and each species adapts in a different way.

The students in Miss Mingo's class all react differently when they practice for a fire drill and learn basic fire safety rules.

All of the animals in the class face their fear of danger and practice wholeheartedly what their teacher Miss Mingo and the fire fighter Chief Grizzly teach them to do in a fire drill with excellent results.
