Orphaned twins Connor and Grace Tempest, having learned the truth about their vampirate roots, are faced with a new challenge when the Pirate Federation chooses Cheng Li and his crew, which includes Connor, to train to become dedicated vampire hunters.

A rival ship of Vampirates creates unwanted competition on the seas and Captain Li goes on the hunt with Connor Tempest; and meanwhile, Connor's twin sister Grace spends some valuable time with their mother and learns their family's shocking history.

When twins Connor and Grace's ship is wrecked in a storm and Connor is rescued by pirates, he believes that Grace has been taken aboard the mythical Vampirate's ship, and he is determined to find her.

In the sequel to "Demons of the Ocean," Connor must learn the pirate way aboard the Diablo, or face dangerous consequences, while his twin sister Grace senses that something is very wrong on the vampirate ship she left behind.

While Connor faces trouble in the form of an obnoxious new crewmate, Grace, his twin sister, seeks out a vampirate guru who might be able to heal their dear friend Lorcan's blindness.

Connor's time aboard the pirate ship "Diablo" has him longing to be a part of the pirate life, while his twin sister Grace prefers he choose the less dangerous path of attending the distinguished Pirate Academy.
