Shola, feeling like an outsider since moving from Nigeria to Canada, tries to ease the transition by seeing if his soccer skills will transfer to the game of hockey.

Josh's move to the city is made easier when he earns a place on his new school's baseball team and is befriended by his teammate Ryan, who also helps him land a job, but Josh is stunned when he realizes Ryan is a thief, and things start to sour when Josh is blamed for Ryan's crimes.
