Rob, Paul, Mattie, and Rosie, ages eight to seventeen, were orphaned in the December 26, 2004 Tsunami. Their parents had worked in different countries for years, supporting charities that helped the poor. When the Tsunami struck, the whole family had already worked in India for four years. Although their parents lost their lives that day, their four children survived. Almost a decade after the tragedy, the two eldest brothers, Rob and Paul, had a dream. They created the multinational brand Gandys Flip Flops in the front room of their rented flat and also set up the charitable foundation, Orphans for Orphans.
