Collects "L?io" comic strips, depicting the adventures of Li?o, an imaginative first-grader who lives in a world with monsters under the bed, robot inventions, and reptile pets.

Using his scientific prowess, the skills he picks up from comic books and a legion of zombie bunnies he invented to defend the weak, a spiky-haired youngster engages in parody-style hijinks involving imaginary robots, a squid companion and his sleep-deprived father.

Desmond has waited his whole life for the sixth-grade field trip to Crab Shell Pier, home to the Mountain Full of Monsters ride, and he has one goal: convince Tina Schimsky to ride it with him. But he finds that executing his master plan will not be easy as he must outwit both the tyrannical Mr. Needles and the nefarious bully Scott Selzer, along with anyone---or anything---else in the way. And when Desmond discovers that the ride is slated for destruction at the end of the summer, the race is on to save it.

Aspiring special effects wizard Desmond Pucket carries his pranks too far, putting his field trip to Mountain Full of Monsters at Crab Shell Pier in jeopardy.
