Tells the story of the crippling ice storm that struck parts of eastern Canada and the northeastern United States in January 1998 through a collection of over two hundred photographs taken by photographers from nine Canadian newspapers.

Presents over one hundred black-and-white photographs commissioned from Ansel Adams by the U.S. government in 1941 that document the American wilderness, complemented by exerpts from the writings of naturalist John Muir.
