Homicide detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles are called to Boston's Chinatown to investigate the murder of a young woman who has been nearly decapitated and their only clue leads them back to a cold case from nineteen years earlier that is linked to a mysterious martial arts master and an ancient Chinese legend.
