When the world turned upside down

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, four friends who live in the same New York City apartment complex--African American Shayla, Indonesian American Ai, Latinx Ben, and White Liam--were beginning to see cracks in their friendships. After the pandemic, the group feels further fractures when they're confined to their apartments and to online school.
