Hagan, a young Burgundian prince, is sent as a foster son to Attila of the Huns as a peace offering, but when Hagan, in the midst of battle and on the brink of death, discovers the pathway to the otherworld, he realizes that the knowledge makes him a dangerous adversary of the ferocious warlord.
