Immanuel Gabriel travels to the end of the world and back through time with his dead grandfather Julius Gabriel, and discovers that the Mayan 2012 doomsday prophecy is real but that it is not the end of mankind: rather, the Mayans had discovered secrets of the universe's creation predating the Big Bang, and reveal to Immanuel through Julius that humanity's time in the body is a test constructed by aliens that, on the whole, mankind is failing.
