Financial whiz Andrew Falcon agrees to handle the hostile takeover of a chemical company in anticipation of a fat fee, but he belatedly learns that he is the pawn of a secret group of power-brokers, The Sevens, who are more than ready to kill him for the knowledge he now holds.

A corporate raider threatens a hostile take-over of a "mom and pop" company. The patriarch of the company enlists the help of his wife's daughter, who is a lawyer, to try and protect the company. The raider is enamoured of her, and enjoys the thrust and parry of legal maneuvering as he tries to win her heart.
