Preston Tucker was a car-crazy kid who hung around auto speedways and grew up to create an automobile - the Tucker - that was years ahead of its time. He was a man of pioneering spirit, ingenuity and daring, who revolutionized Detroit in the 1940's with his stunning "car of tomorrow.".

Shortly after World War II, Preston Tucker is a grandiose schemer with a new dream, to produce the best cars ever made. With the assistance of Abe Karatz and some impressive salesmanship on his own part, he obtains funding and begins to build his factory.
