Three groups of super-flu survivors, including Nick Andros and Tom Cullen, Stu Redman and his group, and Larry Underwood, Nadine Cross, and the feral boy Joe--find themselves drawn to the cornfields of Nebraska by dreams of an old black woman who competes with the Dark Man in their dreams.
