While spending the summer at their grandmother's Vermont inn, two prankster siblings awaken young ghosts from the inn's distant past who refuse to "rest in peace.".

At first Daniel and Erica do not believe the superstitious tales of their mean new classmates. They tell them that their new home, a rundown farm, is haunted by Old Auntie, a witch who kidnaps and keeps a girl for fifty years, then lets her go to get another one. When Erica is taken, Daniel knows he cannot ignore the truth of Old Auntie anymore, and summons his courage to take his sister back.

Travis and his sister Corey decide to boost business at their grandmother's Vermont inn by staging a few "hauntings" that soon draw tourists from across the country, but when their antics awaken a dark force, they must find a way to put to rest the ghosts they have disturbed.
