Forensic pathologists Dr. Jack Stapleton and Dr. Laurie Montgomery, investigating two seemingly disparate cases, come to realize that Jack's anthrax victim, and Laurie's tortured skinhead are only a small part of a dangerous plot to unleash a devastating bioweapon on the United States.
