Tired of selling books, Joe Goldberg decides to write them for a change. Invited to a genius, tight-knit writing fellowship at Harvard, Joe finds himself, finally, in a place where his talent matters more than his pedigree--at least, he thought so, before finding out most of his peers are already distinguished and published authors. Then, meeting Wonder Parish, a writer with no pedigree, just a love of literature like him, Joe begins hoping for a future with her--but the old adage of "kill your darlings" may have to become literal for him to succeed in the writing life.
