Eleven-year-old Dina, having inherited her mother's ability to perceive people's darkest secrets by looking them in the eyes, is kidnapped by the evil Valdracu who demands she use her gift as a weapon against innocents, forcing her fifteen-year-old brother to ride to her rescue.
