Two students, looking for an idea for their science project, get lucky when they meet Miss Dallerwag, a store owner who teaches them about atoms and molecules, mass, volume, and density, and the ever-changing states of matter.

Amanda takes her friend Kyle to a science store where the owner helps them understand the physical and chemical properties of matter, and the processes, such as rusting or burning, by which those properties change.
