Sean King and Michelle Maxwell take on a sinister case when they are called in by Sean's old friend and mentor, Ted Bergin, to help him work on the case of Edgar Roy, an alleged serial killer who faces almost certain conviction, but Bergin is found murdered before their first meeting and Sean and Michelle are left to determine whether Roy is really a killer.
