While searching for a kidnapped girl, Usagi Yojimbo, the rabbit ronin, encounters hordes of yokai, or monsters and demons, that are gathering for a raid on the countryside, and works with Sasuke the Demon Queller to prevent the invasion.

Natsume does his best to avoid the intrigue that abounds in the world of exorcism, but he is forced to attend an exorcist meeting when he is blackmailed by Matoba, the head of a prominent exorcist clan. When one of Natsume's special powers is revealed before Matoba, Natsume's fate may be sealed.

Takashi Natsume, a high school student with supernatural abilities, begins to make friends at school and agrees to join in a test of courage at an old abandoned high school inhabited by a spirit that has a special hatred for humans.

Natsume's home is attacked by a yokai who claims that Natsume stole her ring when she came to get her name back. Unless he can find the ring in time, he may find himself homeless.
