Twelve-year-old Emily travels to Scotland with her father in hopes of learning more about her family and perhaps finding a way to bring her mom and dad back together, and at the last minute she brings along a beautiful, old jeweled mirror left to her by her grandmother, that proves to be invaluable to Emily's understanding of her heritage and her parents.
