Jody McGrath, traveling the world with her family on a dolphin research project, is excited over the possibility of being able to see some botos, the pink river dolphins found in the South American rain forest.

Jody McGrath, on a research trip with her family, visits Dolphin Haven in the Bahamas where she is introduced to expectant dolphin mothers Bella, Misty, and Evie, and becomes involved in the effort to make sure Evie, who has had trouble in the past, gives birth to a healthy calf.
