Three children anticipate a dull Thanksgiving at their aunt's house in New Mexico until, in an emergency, they are left alone with the old Indian housekeeper, who believes the surrounding woods are haunted by Indian spirits, and her rebel granddaughter who is secretly visiting the ghost town in the woods.
