Ruskin and his friends travel to Flatfrost for the Winter Festival where the legendary ice dragon has appeared -- she who unknowingly holds an important piece to the puzzle of who are the dark forces are that have been plotting against Ruskin all along.

Ruskin is back on Crestwood to witness the Night Hunt, a legendary event wherein the bravest young dragons on Crestwood are chosen to participate in a high-stakes scavenger hunt.

Fresh off the excitement of the Night Hunt, Ruskin, Cinder, Groth, and Roke set out for a camping trip on Ghost Island, which, according to Groth, is definitely not haunted despite its name.

Cinder has always been a little envious of Ruskin, the legendary scarlet dragon, after all it can be hard to be friends with a legend, but when the Witch-Dragon, Villinelle, casts a Soul Blazer spell on Cinder her envy blossoms into an uncontrollable wildfire, and Ruskin must save his friend from Villinelle's curse.

Ruskin the dragon and his friend Cinder are sent to Shadow Hills, the most mysterious place in all of Wrenly, under false pretenses by sinister forces.

Ruskin, the pet dragon of the royal family of Wrenly, forms new friendships with the dragons of Crestwood and goes on exciting adventures.
