Mallory's journal of her fourth-grade trip to Washington, D.C., reveals how much fun she has, despite a loose tooth, being upset with her best friend, Mary Ann, and getting separated from her class in a museum.

When the class bully disappears on a field trip to the River City Zoo, James Shoo, known as "Gum" and the other sixth-grade detectives are determined to find out what happened, and it is up to the reader to choose what direction their investigation will take.

Mr. Baker's eighth grade class thought they were in for a normal field trip to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, but their journey takes a terrifying turn when an earthquake hits and the students are plunged into a frigid underground lake, forcing them to fight for survival and find their way back above ground.

Rodney is that kid who just can't sit still. He's inside, but he wants to be outside. Outside is where Rodney always wants to be. Between school and home, there is a park. He knows all about that park. It's that triangle-shaped place with the yellow grass and two benches where grown-ups sit around all day. Besides, his momma said to stay away from that park.
