At the start of the second term, the girls of the Pop Music Club start working on their performance for the upcoming school festival, but their rehearsal time is undermined when Ritsu and Mio are selected for the lead roles in the class production of "Romeo and Juliet.".

Azusa decides it is time for the girls of the Pop Music Club to do another performance, but Mio will have to get over her stage fright if Afterschool Tea Time has any hope of success. Azusa suggests a part time job at a maid cafe might help Mio overcome her shyness.

As the only member of the Pop Music Club to not graduate, Azusa must recruit new members. Her friends Ui and Jun join and Azusa finds one more member, but afterschool tea seems to be on the members' minds more than music, and the club may never take the stage again.

As they start the new year, the girls of the K-On pop music group recruit new members, including first-year Azuka, who is surprised by the group's inexperience and wonders when they will get around to making some music.

Yui Hirasawa joins the pop music club where the other members teach her to read music and play lead guitar, but Yui's rock star potential will be put to the test when the club signs up to perform at the school festival.
