Lawrence Craft's life changes when he meets Horo, the Wolf-God of the harvest and the two set out to exploit the silver currency of the kingdom of Trenni; but when Horo is kidnapped, Lawrence sets out to rescue her.

After escorting Elsa and Evan back to Tereo, Lawrence and Holo devise a plan that will help the townsfolk solve their problems and give them the "miracle" they need.

Hoping to learn more about Holo's homeland, Holo and Lawrence stop by a small church to glean information from the local deaconess. When they are turned away, however, they decide to investigate and realize they have stumbled into a difficult situation involving a nearby village.

With their livelihood on the line, Lawrence the traveling tradesman and his strange fox-goddess companion Holo put in motion their most desperate plan to make money, except they didn't count on both figurative and real wolves getting in the way.

Reeling from his bankruptcy, Lawrence searches for any way to regain what he lost and protect his livelihood, at any cost.

Kraft Lawrence and his companion Holo the Wisewolf have enlisted the help of Norah, the shepherdess, to protect them on their travels, but in the next town, called Ruvinheigen, Lawrence will need protection from himself and his greed as bankruptcy threatens his trade.

On the run and running out of options, Holo the Wisewolf considers showing her true form to her and Lawrence's pursuers, at the risk of frightening Lawrence to death.

The traveling merchant Lawrence and his companion, Holo the Wisewolf, seek to turn a huge profit on a currency scheme in the town of Pazzio, but they are discovered and Holo is abducted and is threatened to be exposed to the Church.
