Maddy decides to try out for the Titans again, though she is worried the Grizzlies will think she is a traitor, and she is confused that her feelings for her best friend Evan seem to be developing into something more.

Maddy Hays ends up on the cheerleading B-squad, a not-so-promising group called the Grizzlies, instead of on the top squad, the Titans. Can she deal with her disappointment and find a way to make being on the Grizzlies something to cheer about?.

Besides the tension of trying out for Titan's cheerleading team again and being nervous about how the Grizzlies will take it, Maddy is not sure whose arm she wants to be on for the annual Sunshine Dance which is only a couple of weeks away.
