Goldtown adventures

Twelve-year-old Jeremiah "Jem" Coulter knows that Goldtown, California, has seen the last of the gold rush. But the flecks of gold he and an old prospector, "Strike," find in their played-out claim on Cripple Creek spur Jem's hope of striking it rich.

Twelve-year-old Jeremiah "Jem" Coulter is caught in the middle of a riot when the Midas mine runs out of gold and the owner decides to reclaim an abandoned mine that is now being worked by Chinese miners.

Jem Coulter and his cousin Nathan investigate when Jem's father's rifle and Jem's horse are stolen while his father is off on business, and the clues lead them to a mysterious canyon.
