Galvanized by Atsumu Miya's selfless setting, Inarizaki gets back into a groove. But right when the Miya Twins think they've got Karasuno dead to rights, their attack is stopped by the last person anyone expected.

Hinata graduates high school and sets out for Brazil to learn beach volleyball an dhow to control his strength. Once there, he earns the nickname "Ninja Shoyo," and soon is approached by a new player named Heitor, who hopes Hinata will team up with him to win his next match and convince his sponsors to stick around.

Hinata is determined to learn something from the participants in the Miyagi Prefecture Rookie Camp even though he is just a ball boy. Meanwhile, Kageyama is worried about his interactions with his teammates. Then, in preparation for the Spring Tournament, Date Tech arrives at Karasuno for a practice game.

Yaku is removed from the court due to injury, leaving Nekoma without a defensive ace. But Kuroo insists they have a chance at grabbing the last slot in the Spring Tournament anyway.

Atsumu Miya of the Inarizaki team has decided to pick on Nishinoya, serving up aces left and right. Karasuno keeps sinking into its hole in the second set, but they are still managing to chip away at Inarizaki's momentum.

Saeko Tanaka and her taiko drum crew have come to cheer on Karasuno in the game with Inarizaki. Atsumu Miya, the nation's best setter, makes everyone, even Nishinoya, wince when he must serve. The Miya twins' version of the Freak Quick shames Hinata and Kageyama, and Karasuno must dig deep to beat their powerhouse opponents.

As the Dumpster Battle begins, Nekoma begins using aggressive synchro attacks instead of relying on their usually superior blocking. Meanwhile, Tsukishima realizes he can't beat the legendary defense of Kuroo without a little help.

The V.League heats up with high-level plays between the Black Jackals and the Adlers, giving Hinata a chance to show off to Kageyama all the moves he has learned since they last crossed paths on the volleyball court. Kageyama watches with growing excitement and pride.
